Shane Rose

Formerly a ĢTV customer, Shane was so impressed by ĢTV’s solutions that he joined our team.

Shane Rose’s journey into cybersecurity began after nearly 20 years in IT consulting, primarily focusing on small and mid-enterprise clients. He noticed that many businesses struggled with security due to a lack of understanding or resources. “I spent much of my time designing and building networks as securely as possible while still seeing bad actors be successful versus the typical tools and equipment on the market designed to stop them at the time,” Shane explains. His perspective shifted when his firm started using ĢTV, a move that ultimately led him to join the ĢTV Sales Engineering team.

Specializing in a broad range of security tools, from firewalls and IDS/IPS to endpoint software, Shane leverages his extensive consulting background in his role. He engages in consultative conversations around various cyber topics, acting as a trusted advisor to partners and customers. “I try to use my background and experience to help educate people on what effective security stacks look like and how they function to mitigate risk,” says Shane.

Shane holds certifications including MCSE, CCNA, and CCNP. His favorite part of working at ĢTV? The ability to make a tangible difference in improving security posture for under-served businesses. “We can see the difference we are making out there in a very under-served portion of business when it comes to cyber awareness and preparedness,” Shane says.

Before joining ĢTV, Shane worked in MSP and IT consulting. Outside of work, he enjoys aviation, having earned his private pilot's license a few years ago. He is also a member of a Cyber Guild in Tampa called Neon Temple, which helps grow people in their professional cybersecurity journey. In his free time, Shane enjoys gaming, technology, and continuous learning.
